The lead singer of the musical group The Hatters, Yuri Muzychenko, told graduates to be independent in life. He told Izvestia about this on June 29 at the Scarlet Sails Alumni Festival in St. Petersburg.

"You were brought here for this graduation. That's the country you've been dreaming about this night. And then, please, do it yourself!" — urged Muzychenko.

He noted that earlier yesterday's students were accompanied by adults. Now graduates need to manage their own lives.

In addition, the performer shared his impressions of the performance on "Scarlet Sails". Muzychenko stressed that this experience is very different from his usual concerts.

The main alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails" was held in St. Petersburg on the night of June 29. The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. And the band "5UTRA" opened the festive concert of the event.

The evening culminated with the passage of the brig Rossiya along the Neva River under scarlet sails and the volleys of real Katyusha launchers (BM-13), which are part of the water and pyrotechnic show of the holiday.

Performers Zara, Bearwolf, Akmal', The 5UTRA group, The Hatters, Agatha Christie and Ivanushki International performed at the event. The headliner this year was People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Kadysheva.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
