Singer Zara (real name Zarifa Mgoyan), who performed at the Scarlet Sails festival, spoke warmly about the schoolchildren who attended the event on June 29.

"I think it's very important for the younger generation to pay compliments more often, because they criticize something all the time. But it seems to me that they are incredible, that they are better than us. There were so many burning eyes today, and I want everyone to have everything work out the way they want it to," she said.

The singer also urged graduates to believe in themselves and not be afraid of anything.

The main alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails" was held in St. Petersburg on the night of June 29. The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. And the band "5UTRA" opened the festive concert of the event.

The evening culminated with the passage of the brig Rossiya along the Neva River under scarlet sails and the volleys of real Katyusha launchers (BM-13), which are part of the water and pyrotechnic show of the holiday.

Performers Zara, Bearwolf, Akmal', The 5UTRA group, The Hatters, Agatha Christie and Ivanushki International performed at the event. The headliner this year was People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Kadysheva.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
