"Scarlet Sails - 2025": what time is it in St. Petersburg today


On Saturday, June 28, St. Petersburg will host the largest and brightest alumni celebration, Scarlet Sails. In the jubilee year of 2025, the audience will enjoy an exciting concert program, including performances by modern pop stars, as well as a colorful water and pyrotechnic show with the passage of the brig Rossiya. "Scarlet Sails" will start at 22:00 Moscow time with a big concert on the Palace Square. Zara, Bearwolf, Akmal', as well as the bands "5UTRA", The Hatters, Vadim Samoilov will perform on the main festive stage./Agatha Christie and Ivanushki International. Nadezhda Kadysheva will perform her best hits — the songs "Am I to Blame", "The Wreath is Floating" and others will be performed for graduates. The concert part will last two hours and 40 minutes.
The highlight of the celebration will be a bright water and pyrotechnic show. The brig Rossiya, under scarlet sails, will start moving from the Senate Square, sail through the open gate of the Palace Bridge and continue along the Palace Embankment. Then it will smoothly turn 360 degrees at the Winter Groove and head towards the Troitsky Bridge. The brig will proceed back from Troitsky Bridge to Dvortsovy along the Dvortsovaya Embankment.
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the day when Scarlet Sails was revived on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five. The anniversary program will be full of bold technical solutions and spectacular surprises for graduates. The artists of the water theater will perform on the Palace Square for the first time, and the most striking element of the stage will be a giant bird with a wingspan of about 10 m.
In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, the main theme of the holiday will be the victory of good over evil. One of the rooms will be dedicated to the siege of Leningrad and the exploits of the inhabitants of the Northern Capital. Musician and composer Nikola Melnikov and the orchestra will perform Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7.
