Yuri Borisov was invited to join the American Film Academy
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday, June 26, invited 534 artists and cinematographers to join its membership, including Russian actor Yuri Borisov.
"Through their commitment to cinema and the industry as a whole, these exceptionally talented individuals have made an indelible contribution to the global filmmaking community," Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang said in a statement on the organization's website.
In March, the 97th Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles. The film "Anora" starring Yura Borisov and Mark Eidelstein won the award for "Best Film". Borisov was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, but did not receive the award.
After that, on April 10, the media learned that Russian actor Yura Borisov had signed a contract with the Hollywood United Talent Agency (UTA) for cooperation. UTA represents actors and popular figures such as Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Timothy Chalamet.
