Serbian parliament demands hearings on arms supplies to Kyiv

Hearings on the supply of Serbian weapons to Ukraine have been initiated in the Serbian Parliament. This was stated to Izvestia by Dragan Stanojevic, head of the People's Assembly Committee on Diaspora and Serbs in the region and a member of the We are the Voice of the People faction.
"We have initiated a hearing of the defense committee in Parliament on this issue. There is no response yet. Our deputy group "We are the Voice of the People" made a statement in parliament, and there we combined two things: arms supplies and Vucic's trip to Odessa to Zelensky," the politician told Izvestia.
On June 11, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Ukraine for the first time since 2022. The Serbian leader visited Odessa, where Ukraine — Southeastern Europe took place.
"Vucic stated last time, either we don't supply, or we supply, but we won't supply anymore. Now he says that there will be a working group, then he says that it will no longer be possible to deliver without a decision from the National Security Council. He indirectly admits that, in fact, the ministers of defense and trade signed an agreement on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. And why couldn't it have been launched earlier through the National Security Council?" asks the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Diaspora and Serbs in the region.
The politician noted that he receives threats because of his comments to the Russian media. "I am truthfully commenting on what is a problem in our relations, because the supply of weapons to Ukraine, if we know that they are being used to kill Russian soldiers, our brothers, is completely unacceptable," Stanoevich summed up.
