The Iranian authorities have not yet decided whether they will participate in new negotiations with the United States. This was announced on June 26 by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi, on the IRIB TV channel.

"We have not yet decided whether we will participate in new negotiations with the United States or not, this issue is still being considered. <...> So far, no plan has been drawn up to start the negotiation process," he said.

The minister also pointed out the lack of agreements in the United States on any negotiations in the future. However, he did not rule out the resumption of the diplomatic process, subject to the lifting of sanctions against Iran, as well as permission to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.

On June 23, Araqchi named a condition for resuming diplomacy with the United States. According to him, in order to continue diplomatic relations, attacks on the Islamic Republic must first stop.
