Ukraine will be able to become a member of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) in the future NATO. This was announced on June 26 by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"We advocate for Ukraine to play a big role in JEF. Ukraine has already concluded an expanded partnership with JEF at the last meeting in Norway. We were one of the leading countries that promoted the idea of greater engagement," he told the House of Commons (lower house) of the British parliament. His words are quoted by TASS.

The British Prime Minister stressed that this was the first step, which indicates not only support for Ukraine, but also a signal for the Russian Federation.

A day earlier, Starmer promised to transfer 350 air defense missiles to Ukraine at the expense of confiscated Russian assets. It is noted that this will be the first time that Britain uses Russian assets to directly supply weapons to Kiev.
