The UK opened a case after the attack of a Ukrainian drone on a volunteer's car near Kursk

Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the attack by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a civilian in the Kursk region who provided humanitarian aid. Svetlana Petrenko, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, told about this on June 26.

On June 11, Ukrainian militants, using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), attacked a civilian vehicle in the village of Popovka in the Rylsky district of the Kursk region. As a result of the incident, a 53-year-old man received shrapnel wounds, and a vehicle was also damaged.

On the day of the incident, the victim, along with other Russian citizens, were delivering humanitarian aid to residents of the village of Popovka when a Ukrainian drone exploded next to a car. Nearby people managed to take cover and were not injured.

A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). The investigators also ordered forensic examinations to determine the severity of the damage to the man's health and the amount of damage.

Earlier, on June 25, the Investigative Committee (IC) announced the establishment of the circumstances of the death of a woman as a result of an attack by an APU drone in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region. It is clarified that Ukrainian militants deliberately attacked a civilian vehicle using an FPV drone in the Kursk region.
