Scientists in the United States have discovered a new specimen of the dinosaur Enigmacursor the size of a Labrador. A representative of this species will be on display at the Natural History Museum in London for the first time since 2014. The BBC reported on this on June 25.

"His new name is Enigmacursor, which means "mysterious runner." He lived about 150 million years ago, running around the legs of such famous giants as stegosaurus. It was originally classified as a nanosaurus, but now scientists have come to the conclusion that it is a different animal," the publication says.

The dinosaur was 64 cm tall and 180 cm long. He looked like a Labrador, but his legs and tail were much larger.

"He had a relatively small head, so he probably wasn't the smartest," Professor Suzanne Maidment said of the new exhibit at the London Museum.

She also suggested that the dinosaur might have been a teenager at the time of its death.

Earlier, on June 11, the scientific portal Livescience, citing the authors of the study, reported the discovery of a new species of tyrannosaurus "prince dragon" in Mongolia, which lived 86 million years ago. It may turn out to be the forerunner of the giant Tyrannosaurus rex.
