Police detained two participants in the shooting in the Irkutsk region

Two participants in the shooting in the city of Ust-Kut, Irkutsk region, were given a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months. This was announced on Thursday, June 26, by the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

It is specified that the offenders were local residents aged 34 and 18, they were detained by police officers.

After the interrogation, the defendants were charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs "a, e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons committed in a generally dangerous manner").

The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing, the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

A mass brawl with the use of weapons near one of the cafes in the Irkutsk region occurred on June 21. As a result of the incident, two people aged 39 and 46 were taken to a local hospital.
