The average check for the minimum wedding set has become more expensive by 9%

On the eve of the wedding season, the demand for festive clothes and accessories has increased. The number of online purchases of men's and women's clothing increased by 7%, and the turnover of payments increased by 14%. Analysts at the HUMOPEU wallet and the Check Index analytical resource of the OFD Platform compared Russians' spending on the eve of the wedding season with last year's. On June 26, Izvestia got acquainted with the results of the study.

It turned out that purchases of women's accessories increased by 52%, and their turnover by 64%, with an average receipt of 11,353 rubles (+8%).

"In recent years, couples have been choosing chamber weddings with loved ones or ceremonies for just two more often, but at the same time they spend more on experiences — traveling, photo shoots, renting exclusive locations. In April-May, hotel bookings through UCASSA increased by 44%, and the average check reached 15,022 rubles (+14%)," said Irina Polyakova, Head of Corporate Customer Support at HUMOPEU.

The Check Index recorded a 4% increase in purchases of wedding dresses with an average check of 29,510 rubles (+7%). Men's suits were bought 8% more often (the average receipt was 8,340 rubles, +8%), and wedding rings — by 6% (14,021 rubles, +12%). The demand for bouquets also increased (+4%, the average receipt was 4,798 rubles, +16%) and beauty salon services (+18%, the average receipt was 1,987 rubles, +2%).

The minimum wedding set (a dress, a suit, two rings and a bouquet) costs an average of 70,690 rubles, which is 9% more expensive than in 2024.

Earlier, on April 24, it was reported how Russians' spending changed after the wedding. So, in the month of the wedding, spending by women and men is 35.6% and 43.4% higher than the average. After that, they remain at an elevated level in 12.9% of women and 13.4% of men.
