Iran has notified the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of measures to protect its enriched uranium reserves. This was announced on June 25 by the agency's Director General, Rafael Grossi, during a press conference at a meeting of the Austrian security cabinet.

It is noted that the letter sent by the Iranian side to the IAEA stated that Iran had taken "special measures" to protect its nuclear materials and equipment. Grossi suggested that most of the supplies survived the attacks.

At the same time, he clarified that the main priority for the IAEA is the return of inspectors to Iran's nuclear facilities to assess the consequences of the US and Israeli strikes, as well as to check the stocks of enriched uranium.

"This is the number one priority," the Reuters news agency quoted the CEO as saying.

However, Grossi clarified that in the case of this permit, inspections at facilities may be dangerous due to the threat of unexploded ordnance explosions in the territories.

Earlier in the day, the Iranian parliament approved a bill suspending cooperation with the IAEA.

The day before, The New York Times reported that despite the attacks by Israel and the United States, most of the uranium reserves were moved before the strikes and stored in secret nuclear facilities.
