Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, has put under control the progress of the criminal investigation into the attempted murder of a two-year-old child at Sheremetyevo airport. This was reported on June 25 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The department clarified that Bastrykin instructed Yaroslav Yakovlev, head of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, to submit a report on the investigation of the incident.
"The execution of the order has been put under control at the central office of the department," the Telegram channel says.
On June 23, a man, being in the arrival area of the airport in a state of drug intoxication, grabbed a child and violently threw him to the floor. The boy was hospitalized, he is in serious condition. A criminal case has been opened into the incident. Later, the defendant was charged with attempted murder.
On June 24, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow region, Ksenia Mishonova, reported that doctors had not detected brain damage in the child. According to her, the boy is in stable condition.
