- Britain will transfer 350 air defense missiles to Ukraine at the expense of confiscated Russian assets

The UK will send Ukraine a new aid package of 350 missiles for air defense systems through the use of 70 million pounds of confiscated Russian assets. This was reported on June 24 by The Guardian newspaper, citing a statement by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
"The UK will send 350 state—of-the-art air defense missiles built in the UK and adapted in record time for ground launch, using £70 million received through the government's Emergency Revenue Acceleration (ERA) scheme," the publication says.
It is noted that this will be the first time that Britain uses Russian assets to directly supply weapons to Kiev.
According to British Defense Minister John Healy, the missiles will prove that the UK's military and industrial base can adapt to modern combat realities.
On June 11, Starmer called the idea of confiscating frozen assets of the Russian Federation a difficult issue. According to him, the British authorities will now enter into negotiations with the allies on this issue.
On May 9, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that Denmark, France and Italy would purchase weapons for Kiev for €1 billion. He recalled that on that day, the EU announced its intention to allocate almost €1.9 billion from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation for military support of the Kiev regime.
