A medical examination of a foreign citizen who threw a child on the floor at Sheremetyevo airport confirmed that he was under the influence of a narcotic substance. This was announced on June 24 by Olga Vradiy, the official representative of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region.

"The suspect underwent a medical examination, according to the results of which a narcotic substance was found in his blood. It is planned to appoint a chemical examination," the ministry said.

The man who arrived the day before was in transit at the airport, waiting for a transfer to a neighboring country. He will be taken to an investigator for questioning in the coming hours.

The suspect is charged with attempted murder of a two-year-old child (Part 3, Article 30, paragraphs "b, i", Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigators seized surveillance cameras from the scene of the emergency to order an examination. The child's father was recognized as the victim, and he was also interrogated.

The incident occurred on June 23. The man, being in the arrival area of the airport in a state of drug intoxication, grabbed the child and violently threw him to the floor. After the boy was hospitalized. A criminal case has also been opened into the incident.

According to Tatiana Shapovalenko, the chief physician of the Roshal Children's Center, on June 24, the two-year-old boy's health is assessed as stable and severe, and the child has a severe traumatic brain injury. He has been put into a drug-induced sleep and is on an artificial lung ventilator (ventilator).
