Qatar's Foreign Ministry called Iran's attack on a US military base unacceptable

Iran's attack on the US military base Al-Udeid in Qatar is unacceptable, it is an attack on Qatar's sovereignty. This was announced on June 24 by the head of the Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani.

"The region is facing unprecedented challenges, including an attack on Qatar's sovereignty. We condemn in the strongest terms the attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran (IRGC) on the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar," Al-Jazeera said in a statement, citing the country's Foreign Ministry.

Qatar has condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran since day one and was surprised by the attack on the Al-Udeid airbase. The Qatari air defenses shot down all the missiles except one, which landed in an open area.

"The State of Qatar is committed to a policy of good neighborliness. Israel's irresponsible actions only create instability in the region," the Qatari prime minister added.

The head of the republic's Foreign Ministry met with the Russian president in Moscow on June 23.

On June 23, it was reported that Iran launched 11 missiles at US military bases in Qatar and Iraq during Operation Good News of Victory.
