The Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, June 24, issued a recommendation to Russian citizens staying in the Middle East, in which it urged them to "exercise maximum caution and observe personal security measures."

"In connection with the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry urges Russian citizens staying in Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and other countries in the region to exercise maximum caution and observe personal security measures," the ministry said in a statement on its website.

They advised Russians not to approach military installations and areas of critical infrastructure, refrain from visiting crowded places and strictly follow the instructions of local authorities.

Citizens were also advised to immediately go to suitable shelters in case of danger, as well as to limit movement, especially at night.

Earlier, on June 23, the Russian Foreign Ministry called for an end to the escalation in the Middle East. They called the actions of the American and Israeli sides a gross violation of the UN Charter, fundamental norms and principles of international law.
