The summer peak of the fire season is expected on July 10-30, said the head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Advisers in an interview with Izvestia during the SPIEF-2025.

The summer peak is divided into two groups, he noted. Firstly, we are talking about remote fires that occur from thunderstorms in hard-to-reach areas.

"So far, analytics tell us that the hottest time will be somewhere in the middle of July at the junction of the Irkutsk region, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Yakutia," said Ivan Advisers.

The second problem point, according to him, is predicted in the Central Federal District, where they also promise hot weather during this period.

"This is a densely populated region. The main cause of fires there is no longer thunderstorms, but people. And, of course, we need to work to ensure that fire safety rules are not violated, that fires are detected on time, extinguished on time, and that we work out all this clearly and quickly," he stressed.

So far, Roshydromet predicts a less hot autumn than last year, the head of the Federal Forestry Agency added. However, all forces and means are being prepared for the fact that the summer burning season will last until the end of September, he assured.
