- The British authorities spent more than 500,000 pounds on the transformation of the government's website

In the UK, more than £532,000 (about 56 million rubles) was spent on updating the government's website. This was reported by the Daily Mail on June 22.
It is clarified that the changes were minimal and mostly visual. So, the color of the top panel, which was black before, turned blue, and the dot in the logo turned turquoise. It is specified that the redesign was created by the advertising agency M&C Saatchi.
As the newspaper notes, the new expensive logo, which is due to be unveiled this month, has already attracted criticism from citizens and authorities. Some people call it cheap, tasteless and terrible.
A representative of the Reform UK party called the redesign a senseless waste of public funds.
"The disrespect for taxpayers' money continues to amaze. Spending more than half a million pounds to change the logo is just a mockery," the newspaper reports his words.
On February 20, former British Prime Minister Liz Truss, during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), criticized the current system in the UK and pointed out that the United Kingdom was on the path to moral bankruptcy. The politician pointed out that Britain is "becoming a failed state."
