The UK has foreshadowed a state of bankruptcy in the country
Great Britain is on the verge of bankruptcy. This was stated by British politician David Frost on February 6.
According to him, all possible ways to replenish the budget aggravate the situation with the economy.
"There is no way out. Raising taxes will not increase revenues, and Labor cannot stimulate economic growth or cut spending," he wrote in an article for The Telegraph newspaper.
He also emphasized that the country's GDP is falling rapidly due to high fuel prices, uncontrolled migration, and the post-Brexit economic shock. Frost cites loans that need to be repaid as the only option for the Treasury. He added that the ever-increasing tax burden, public debt and budget spending are bringing the economy closer to disaster.
"And the ever-increasing burden of taxes, spending and debt is putting even more pressure on the economy. The truth is that we can not afford to increase public spending at all," the politician added.
Prior to that, on January 19, British analyst Alexander Mercouris said on the air of YouTube channel The Duran that the UK residents faced a lot of problems because of aid to Ukraine. According to the expert, the UK government cannot explain the lack of gas in the country. In addition, the lives of Britons were negatively affected by tax increases and other measures, which were caused by the state budget deficit.
