- The media reported that the Middle East issue was not included in the program of the NATO summit.

The program of the upcoming summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in The Hague, which will be held on June 24-25, does not include a meeting on conflicts in the Middle East. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on June 21, citing sources.
In addition, the newspaper noted that the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East may also be a reason for American leader Donald Trump to announce the need to increase defense spending to 5% of gross domestic product (GDP).
Earlier in the day, Politico reported that there would be no meeting of the alliance's council on Ukraine at the NATO summit, which will be held on June 24-25 in The Hague.
