Kobyakov accused Britain of trying to sow discord between Russia and Ukraine

The UK is ready to do anything to put Russia and Ukraine at odds. Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), announced this at the final press conference on June 21.
"It's clear that they (the British. — Ed.) my mother will be sold to put us at odds, to sow conflict. But I think that, in general, they will eventually overexert themselves," Kobyakov said.
According to him, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is an internal conflict of the Russian world, and he called the participation of Western countries in it an intervention. Kobyakov recalled that the UK has been engaged in "piracy, terrorism, incitement and manipulation of others" for centuries.
"This is their natural environment, which allowed them to become the mistress of the seas," he added.
On June 16, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) announced that Ukraine and the United Kingdom were jointly preparing provocations in the Baltic Sea. It was clarified that London and Kiev are preparing sabotage in order to further escalate the Ukrainian conflict and disrupt the Russian-American negotiation process. It was emphasized that Ukraine has become an ideal performer of provocations and terrorist acts for the UK.
