Karin Kneissl pointed to the EU's desire to change the government in Russia

The European Union (EU) wants to change the government in Russia, the former Austrian Foreign Minister said on June 21 on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025). According to her, the EU is taking the same measures for this that Israel is taking towards Iran.
The politician recalled the words of the Austrian Secretary of State for Energy, Elisabeth Zechettner, at the last meeting of relevant ministers. The official then said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin leaves, then the possibility of Russian gas supplies could be considered again.
"So, in fact, what the European Union is doing is the same as what Israel is doing with Iran. They are working to overthrow the government in the country," Kneissl quoted TASS as saying.
Kneissl reported on May 19 that European countries are used to dividing the world into black and white and have always distanced themselves from the East, so now they are afraid of Russia, which adheres to this direction. She noted that such a division in the Western system of values into only bad and good ones will lead to economic problems and risks that will lead to terrible consequences.
