The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East does not change the plans and agreements of the Russian Federation on the North–South International Transport corridor (ITC). This was announced on June 20 by Igor Levitin, Adviser to the President of Russia, Special Representative for International cooperation in the field of transport.

"Nothing is changing, it (the highway. As it was a priority for us, it remains so," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, all agreements on the construction of railways remain in force. At the same time, Levitin clarified that he was not aware whether the highway was being hit.

On May 27, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the ability of the North–South Trade Center to create additional opportunities for the growth of supplies of goods from Russia to foreign countries. According to him, the highway has become a key logistics hub and in the future is able to significantly increase the volume of supplies of Russian goods to most promising markets.
