A sanitary evacuation was carried out in Israel, during which three Russian children were taken to Jordan for medical reasons. This was announced on June 20 by Ekaterina Tarazevich, head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv.
"Today (June 20th. Early in the morning, our diplomats, accompanied by [Israel's national ambulance service] Magen David Adom, conducted the sanitary evacuation of three minor children, citizens of the Russian Federation, along with their parents. They were crossing the border crossing with Jordan," she said in an interview with TASS.
According to her, they crossed the border and left Israel about half an hour ago.
Tarazevich clarified that at the moment they are being met by employees of the Russian Embassy in Jordan. She thanked her Jordanian colleagues for their great help and assistance.
The day before, the Russian Embassy in Tehran announced the successful evacuation from Iran of the majority of Russians who decided to leave the country. It was clarified that at the time of the escalation of the Iranian-Israeli conflict, there were more than 2 thousand Russians in Iran, including permanent residents and those on a working trip to the republic.
Later, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that Russia would support its citizens who want to return from Israel amid the escalation in the Middle East. At the same time, he stressed that the return of citizens who lived in another country would not affect Russian society in any way.
