VK Video and NMG DOC have signed the largest deal in the documentary film market. 52 films produced by NMG DOC will appear on VK Video in the near future, the press service of the National Media Group reports.

The portfolio of the deal includes paintings from the series "Scientifically about the unscientific", produced by Natalia Bilan and Alexander Dashko, "The Big Hunt" in the genre of true-edge, two works from the historical line of "Great": "Columbus" and "Da Vinci", the techno-popular films of Anton Wojciechowski "What they make of rockets?" and "Electricity from Water", as well as films under the brand "Legends and Myths" about the cultural code of Russia.

"In February 2024, when we first announced the creation of NMG DOCK, we promised that with our participation, 100 hours of original non-fiction content would be created per year. Not everyone believed us, but we kept our promise. Moreover, after starting cooperation with VK Videos, I can say that almost 90% of this content has already found its audience. NMG DOC films have been broadcast on REN TV, and now VK Video users will have access to a large shelf of our projects. It seems to me that this is a worthy result of the work done in a little over a year. Now all that remains is not to slow down the pace," said Yulia Zasko, head of NMG DOK.

In just a year, NMG DOC has attracted teams led by such renowned producers as Natalia Bilan, Dmitry Sapun, Anton Wojciechowski, Yulia Shamal, Nikita Snegov and Alexander Dashko.

We see a steady interest of the audience in non-fiction content and consider the expansion of cooperation with NMG DOK as a strategically sound step. A portfolio of 52 films will allow us to strengthen our position in the segment of intelligent video content and offer users of the platform a wider range of domestic documentary projects," said Alexey Filatov, head of the VK Video content licensing group.
