Basic instincts: Viewers were asked to find out, "Where does love live?"

The film "Where does Love Live?" is a story about how romantic feelings are just a side effect of complex processes occurring in the human body. On March 9, his TV premiere will take place on REN TV and Rutube. A presentation of the new industrial media "Documentary Cinema" was also held as part of the capital's premiere of the film DOC.ru . Created with the participation of NMG DOC, it will accumulate all the most significant events in documentary films. Izvestia joined the first viewers and appreciated the seriousness of the new project.
A film about what love is
What is a soul? Why is a person jealous? What do we see in our dreams? The line of popular science films "NMG DOC" will present reputable speakers and their research on these issues. On March 3, the first episodes of "Where does Love Live?" were shown to the Moscow cinema audience on the big screen. According to a study by the authors of the project, we are commanded by cunning evolutionary programs that are almost impossible to control. The genetic code, neural signals, hormonal rebellion push us in search of love adventures. The film will reveal all the secrets of the most important feeling on the planet.
— Thank you for the trust of NMG DOC, whose management suggested that we look at a concept that is considered ephemeral, vague, and romantic from a scientific point of view," Dmitry Sapun, the film's director, told Izvestia. — We approached the concept lying in the emotional field rationally. We have made a lot of discoveries for ourselves.
For example, Sapun notes, there are expressions "love lives for three years" or "two boots are a pair." The film explains that they have a scientific explanation. What do we know about a kiss? We used to think that this is an expression of love. But it turns out that this is a mutual vaccination. But, for example, an egg during ovulation smells like lilies of the valley. And there is also a logical explanation for this, which is described in the picture.
The film raises another serious question. Despite the achievements of science and technology, humanity has suffered an epidemic of loneliness. Every fourth person today is experiencing a lack of love. People spend billions on workshops and psychologists to solve this problem. But under the banner of the "marathon of love" information Gypsies are most often hidden.
"NMG DOC" challenges all pseudo-gurus and presents a unique popular science documentary, which contains all the latest scientific research and comprehensive answers to eternal questions: what is love, how is it born, which organs are responsible for this condition, its development or attenuation. The creators will also try to unravel why love takes place and what physiological processes influence it.
The experts involved in the NMH DOK project, including physicists, chemists, neurophysiologists, anthropologists, and psychologists, will answer difficult questions.
— The main task that we set for ourselves was to attract not just specialists, but stars from science to the creation of the film, — says Dmitry Sapun. — We had to wait several months for some of the speakers because we wanted to see them and only them.
What are "butterflies in the stomach" and how do they get there? Are there pills for love fever when a person feels literally on the verge of insanity?Psychologist Tatiana Muzitskaya will figure out what is more important for a person at the very beginning of a relationship — smell or appearance. Neuroscientist Vyacheslav Dubynin will explain in detail what process takes place in the brain of a person in love. And anthropologist Stanislav Drobyshevsky will present love from the point of view of evolution — as a side effect of complex processes occurring in the human body.
— We live for the sake of emotions and for the sake of feeling happiness sometimes, — Vyacheslav Dubynin says. — It's not a constant state, but something like surfing, and when you're on a wave, love gives you the most powerful positive emotions. And now it's a global feeling that warms you every hour. And you're doing creative work together, having children, defending your territory back to back. Each of us strives to find our soulmate.
The movie "Where does love live?" It was created for the NMG DOK line "Scientific about non-scientific". In this series, they will tell you about the difficult things.
— Work on the films "Mind Games" has already ended, this is about the fact that in fact everything is not what it seems, — Yulia Zasko, head of NMG Dok, told Izvestia. — The production of the film "Alien Inside", where we talk about the brain, is coming to an end. The film "Where does the soul live?" is in the montage. This is one of the most difficult films. It's about whether the soul exists, whether it can be measured and weighed. In the "In the World of Dreams" dock, viewers will find out if there are prophetic dreams, what people sleep for. "The Mathematics of Fate" is about whether the events of your life can be predicted or are predetermined. And the creators will look at this from the point of view of science.
According to Yulia Zasko, "NMG DOC" is also currently preparing films from the "Great Ones" series. Documentaries will tell about Ivan the Terrible, Ivan Kalita, Trotsky, Stalin. Each film in the series draws parallels with modernity, tells about the delayed effect of certain reforms or decisions.
— Our main task is to show that documentaries can be interesting to the widest audience, — says Yulia Zasko. — The production cycle of a documentary project is usually two to three years. But already now we can boast of the successes of the film "Alexander III". We looked at the years of the emperor's reign from an angle slightly different from the generally accepted one. They said that in fact, he had significantly improved the economy and made Russia a country to be reckoned with in the international arena, and he did this not only with weapons, but also with diplomacy. At the premiere screening on REN TV, the film was watched by 5.9 million viewers.
The television premiere of the movie "Where does Love live?" It will take place on the REN TV channel on March 9th.

As part of the premiere of the film, NMG DOC also presented a new industrial media, Documentary Cinema DOC.ru .The Internet portal should revive interest in the creation of popular science films not only among professionals, but also among a wide audience.
— We intend to raise industry issues, educate and discuss, working in conjunction with film critics — all this in order to create a powerful industrial community in our country, — says the editor-in-chief DOC.ru Ilona Egiazarova. — In addition, we will conduct a dialogue with caring viewers — our content, including an exclusive video, will appear on social networks — on our sites in VK, Telegram, Rutube, OK and Yandex Zen.
