Foreign companies have begun a preliminary study of the possibilities of returning to Russia, Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, told Izvestia. Although specific companies cannot be named yet, there is active interest from businesses, including among those who "did not leave the market very nicely" in 2022.

"It's true that the ground is being probed. After the prospect of ending the Ukrainian conflict in a shorter period appeared, many foreign companies began to show interest in returning," Sergey Katyrin said.

Foreign investors have stepped up inquiries through trade associations, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, as well as German, Korean and European business associations, the head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

"The Russian market remains attractive due to its capacity, qualified personnel and competitive advantages. But it's too early to talk about specific dates or companies — there have been no official statements yet," Katyrin said.

At the same time, a significant number of foreign enterprises from the USA, the EU and Asia continue to operate in Russia. According to the observations of the head of the CCI, their business activity has even increased in recent months.
