New IRGC intelligence chief appointed in Iran

Iran has appointed a new head of the intelligence directorate of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the republic's Armed Forces) Majid Khademi instead of Mohammad Kazemi, who died during the Israeli strikes. This was reported on June 19 by the Iranian Fars news agency.
"General Khademi becomes the head of the IRGC intelligence organization," the newspaper said in a Telegram channel message.
According to media reports, Khademi was appointed to this position by order of IRGC Commander Mohammad Pakpour.
On June 15, the IRGC announced the loss of seven commanders of the Military Space Forces (VKS) during the attacks on Jerusalem. Mahmoud Bagheri, Dawood Sheikhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayyeb, Khosrow Hasani and Javad Joursara were named among the dead.
