The White House pointed to Trump's imminent decision on strikes against Iran.
US President Donald Trump will decide on strikes against Iran within two weeks. This was announced by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt on June 19 at a briefing broadcast on the CNBC-TV18 YouTube channel.
"Due to the fact that there is a significant possibility of negotiations with Iran, <...> I will make a decision to act or not within two weeks," she read out the address of the American leader.
At the same time, according to Leavitt, the United States continues to have direct and indirect contacts with the Iranian side.
The White House spokeswoman also stressed that a potential agreement between the states implies Iran's complete rejection of uranium enrichment and the possibility of creating nuclear weapons.
The day before, Trump said that the United States admits the possibility of attacking Iran's nuclear facilities. According to Bloomberg, some American federal agencies have already begun preparations for strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic.
