A large-scale protest took place in the center of Kiev

A large-scale protest action was held in the center of Kiev against the actions of the Agency for Asset Search and Management (ARMA). This was reported on June 19 by the Ukrainian newspaper Insider UA.
The protesters gathered at the entrance to the House of Trade Unions in the center of Kiev. The entrance to the building was blocked by the police.
"The protesters have issued an ultimatum until June 24. If there is no solution, the protest will become even bigger," the publication wrote on the Telegram channel.
It is specified that about a thousand people took part in the demonstration, including veterans, trade union members and members of the public. They accused the organization of depriving Ukrainians of the right to vote.
ARMA has submitted an appeal to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine about the improper use of the building arrested in October 2021 in the case of illegal appropriation of state property by trade union organizations, the head of the agency, Olena Duma, reported earlier. It was sent by the ARMA for transfer to the governor with the condition of transferring almost 90% of the revenues from the administration to the budget of Ukraine.
However, until April 2025, the House of Trade Unions was used by the leaders of the trade union movement. So, they tried to open a restaurant in the building first, and then a poker club, TASS reminds.
On February 25, Vladimir Rukan, a captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), said that he had been forcibly mobilized. The majority of the Ukrainian military's moral and psychological health has been undermined, and their average age is over 50 years old, he said. The prisoner added that in Ukraine, during the conflict, "there is simple money laundering" and it is unclear where the billions of dollars are going.
