Russia is negotiating with two countries of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) on the construction of spaceports on their territory. This was announced on June 19 by Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos, at the session "Space Technologies — the Future of the Service Economy" at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

"I will not name two countries in the Asia-Pacific region now that are considering the possibility of building two launch pads and two spaceports together with Russia," Bakanov said.

The head of Roscosmos added that the corporation's international agenda is "very intense."

On June 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation is proud of its unique achievements in space, and the government also plans to form long-term plans in this area. According to him, the country will implement ambitious long-term plans, identify a vector of integrated development for the work of rocket scientists, spacecraft developers, as well as their colleagues from related fields.
