Putin spoke about his daughter and granddaughter speaking fluent Chinese.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his daughter and granddaughter speak Chinese fluently. He announced this on June 18 during a meeting with the heads of international news agencies on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
"I mentioned my granddaughter, who has a teacher from Beijing, and she speaks Chinese fluently with her," he said.
According to Putin, his daughter began studying Chinese in the early 2000s. He wasn't as popular then as he is now.
"She started learning Chinese proactively, just because she wanted to," the Russian president noted.
Earlier, on May 8, Putin announced that relations between Russia and China had reached the highest level in history. At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that Russian-Chinese cooperation does not depend on the global situation.
