The United States remains ready to hold talks with the Iranian side. This was announced on June 18 by the American leader Donald Trump.

He clarified that the United States has not yet closed the door to negotiations with Iran, adding that it has not yet made a final decision on the Iranian issue.

"I have not made a final decision yet," the American leader said during a conversation with reporters at the White House.

Trump noted that he will soon have a meeting on the conflict in the Middle East. He also clarified that at the moment there is still a possibility of concluding a deal, but this, according to him, is "more difficult than it was before."

In addition, the American leader added that Iran was several weeks away from possessing nuclear weapons. In his opinion, they could have applied it if they had completed the development.

Earlier in the day, President Trump indicated the possibility of a U.S. strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. He said that many more negative events could occur during the conflict. The head of the White House also added that the leaders of the Islamic Republic had asked to be allowed to come to the White House for talks.
