- The UN Security Council will hold a meeting in connection with the conflict between Iran and Israel

The UN Security Council, at the request of Tehran, will hold a meeting in connection with the Iran-Israel conflict on Friday, June 20. This was reported by RIA Novosti on June 18, citing a source.
"The UN Security Council will discuss the Iran-Israel issue on Friday morning," the statement said.
Russia's permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, said at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on June 13 that a dangerous escalation in the Middle East was taking place due to Israel's actions. He stressed that Russia condemns the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities and is concerned about the possible consequences that Tel Aviv's actions may entail.
On June 13, Israel attacked Iran and declared a state of emergency in the country. At that time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that the purpose of the military operation was to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, the Islamic Republic launched several waves of missile attacks.
