Israel announced the need for the United States to participate in the operation against Iran

The United States should join Israel's "struggle" with Iran, as Tehran with nuclear weapons "poses a threat to the whole world." This was announced on June 18 by the leader of the opposition, the head of the Yesh Atid party, Yair Lapid.

"I believe that the President [of the United States Donald] Trump will do what is right for the United States, but in negotiations with international officials and in the international press, I have repeatedly said that the United States must join this battle. A nuclear—armed Iran poses a threat to the entire world, not just Israel," Lapid said. He is quoted by The Jerusalem Post.

Lapid's statement reportedly came a day after he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to receive an update on security and operations against Iran.

In the near future, Washington will decide whether to participate in attacks on the Islamic Republic.

Earlier in the day, Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations reported that Tehran rejects the possibility of negotiating under pressure. They also noted that Iran has never asked US President Donald Trump for any talks at the White House.
