In Moscow, the "yellow" weather danger level due to thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds will remain in effect until midnight on Thursday. The Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation reported this on Wednesday, June 18.
"The warning period is until 00:00 on June 19, with thunderstorms, heavy rain, and wind up to 15 m/s in thunderstorms," the Moscow City News Agency quoted the message as saying.
A similar warning will be in effect in the Moscow region until 13:00 on June 19.
On the same day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the capital warned of a thunderstorm and heavy rain in the city. The ministry clarified that heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places in Moscow, and wind gusts of up to 15 m/s are possible during a thunderstorm, RT reports.
