The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has no evidence that Iran has been developing nuclear weapons, but the current situation in the country is alarming. This was announced on June 18 by the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi.

"We have reported that we have no evidence of [Iran's] systematic efforts to develop nuclear weapons," he was quoted as saying by Press TV.

He stressed that the IAEA's conclusions coincide with the conclusions of other organizations on this issue.

On June 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Moscow was recording clear statements from Tehran about its continued commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and its readiness to resume contacts with the United States. The Ministry also stressed that "the goals of nuclear non-proliferation, the fundamental basis of which is the NPT, should not be achieved through aggression and at the cost of innocent victims."

Israel struck Iran on June 13 and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
