The Public-private partnership Agreement was signed in 2010. In 2015, work has already been completed on the completion of the first stage of development. Since 2023, the implementation of the stages of the second stage has begun, which consists of three phases — A, B, C. The last of them is planned to be completed by 2041.
In the footage, you can see the layout of the future airfield with the reconstructed infrastructure. As part of it, the building with lighting, aircraft, as well as a wide parking area were renovated.
Earlier, on May 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the reconstruction of airports in Vorkuta and Naryan-Mar in 2027-2030. In addition, a new air harbor should be built in Efremov Bay on the Taimyr Peninsula from 2027 to 2029.
