"While SPIEF 2024 focused on finding growth points within the developing multipolar system, SPIEF 2025 focuses on common values such as trust, equality, transparency, as the foundation for building new international relations in the context of global fragmentation," said Vladimir Chernov, analyst at Freedom Finance Global.
He added: "This shift reflects an attempt to formulate a new platform of meanings, where economic growth is based not only on infrastructure and the market, but also on the institutional guidelines of the partnership.
What contracts are being prepared to conclude at the SPIEF
According to experts from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the amount of contracts concluded at SPIEF 2025 may be at the level of 7-7.5 trillion rubles. For comparison, in 2024, 6.4 trillion worth of deals were signed, which is an increase of 20%. This is due to the expansion of international activities, as well as closer cooperation between the subjects of the country, explained Yulia Kovalenko, Associate professor of the Basic Department of Financial Control, Analysis and Audit of the Main Control Department of the City of Moscow, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Finam believes that among the key deals will be projects in the areas of technological sovereignty, import substitution, digitalization of the economy, modernization of infrastructure and development of cooperation with partners from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
