The IDF announced the interception of most of the missiles launched by Iran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the launch of missiles by Iran on the territory of the country, most of them were intercepted. This was reported on June 17 by the army press service in the Telegram channel.

"Some time ago, sirens sounded in several areas of Israel after the detection of missiles launched from Iran," the publication clarifies.

The IDF later reported that most of these missiles had been intercepted.

The IDF warned that the air defense and missile defense systems do not guarantee the interception of all missiles. The population should follow the instructions and be ready to go to shelters.

According to Israeli television Channel 12, a total of eight rockets were fired from the Iranian side this time.

Earlier in the day, Tasnim news agency reported that as a result of an attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran on military intelligence buildings and the headquarters of the Israeli Mossad north of Tel Aviv, many Israeli soldiers and senior officers were killed. According to the agency, the attack targeted Israeli security and intelligence centers, including the Amman Military Intelligence Organization, the Intelligence and Operations Service, as well as a special Mossad unit.

Israel struck Iran on June 13 and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
