Russia has a negative attitude towards the possible entry of the United States into the conflict between Israel and Iran. Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said this on Monday, June 16.

He stressed that everything must be done to try to bring the parties to the conflict to the negotiating table.

"Tensions are rising, the number of victims is increasing, exchanges of blows are continuing, and the involvement of third forces may lead to an even greater increase in the number of participants in this conflict," the deputy said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

On June 15, against the backdrop of the confrontation between Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump said before departing for the G7 summit that Washington was considering the possibility of concluding a deal to resolve the conflict.
