It is specified that the measure will be in effect until 02:00 local time (01:30 Moscow time).
"This decision was made in order to maintain peace, passenger and flight safety, and citizens are asked to refrain from visiting airports in person," Ramezani said.
Prior to that, the airspace was declared closed until 14:00 (13:30 Moscow time) on June 16.
Earlier, on June 13, Israel struck Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
