Pezeshkian criticized supporters of the creation of nuclear weapons in Iran

Proponents of nuclear weapons have no place in Iran's politics. This was announced on June 16 by the President of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Peseshkian, during a parliamentary session.
He stressed that the republic's policy is that the country will not receive nuclear weapons and will not seek to create them. According to him, this has been repeatedly stated by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
"If anyone in this country takes a position and opposes what the leadership has announced, he has no place in the politics of the Islamic Republic," Jamaran quoted him as saying.
Earlier in the day, the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai, announced the republic's position against the presence of nuclear weapons in the Middle East. He stressed that the country continues to fulfill its obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
Prior to that, on June 15, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called negotiations the only way to resolve the Iranian issue. He also found it striking that Israel had carried out attacks on Iranian territory on the eve of the sixth round of negotiations on the nuclear program.
