Footage has emerged of the destruction after an Iranian missile strike in Tel Aviv.
Almost all houses were destroyed at the site of the Iranian rocket explosion in the center of Tel Aviv. Video footage of the aftermath of the attack on Israel on June 16 is published by Izvestia.
After the impact, windows were blown out in shops on the street. Further, residential buildings were destroyed in the next block.
As Nikita Kulyukhin, a journalist from Izvestia, noted, Iran's attack showed that even one of Israel's most powerful air defense systems can be tried to "beat and reset" if a large number of missiles are sent simultaneously.
"Look at how much everything is destroyed here. There are a lot of houses in the most central place of Tel Aviv, and almost everything is destroyed. <...> There is a very colossal scale of this whole explosion," he said.
Earlier in the day, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced that the building of the American Embassy in Tel Aviv had received minor damage as a result of a rocket explosion fired from Iran. According to the diplomat, the U.S. Embassy and consulate in Israel will remain closed during the day.
According to the National Medical Service of Israel (MDA), at the moment the death toll from Iranian missile strikes on the central part of Israel is four people, the number of hospitalized is up to 87 people.
