- The Iranian president said the United States violated international law after the Israeli attack

The responsibility for the aggression of Israel, which attacked Iran, lies with the United States. Washington allowed the attack, violating all norms of international law. This was announced on June 16 by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
"America, contrary to all norms of international law, allows Israel to commit aggression and attack our country. We did not seek war and did not start a war. It was not us who killed the country's high—ranking military and scientists," he said during a speech in parliament.
The Head of State noted that the Iranian people are not the initiators of military action.
"We need unity and cohesion today more than ever, and the entire Iranian people must unite and stand resolutely against aggression," the Tasnim news agency quoted Peseshkian as saying.
On June 15, US President Donald Trump, amid the confrontation between Israel and Iran, said before departing for the G7 summit that Washington was considering the possibility of concluding a deal to resolve the conflict. He pointed out that the current situation provides a good chance for concluding an agreement, and confirmed the US intention to support Israel's defense.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
