Against the background of the confrontation between Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of concluding a deal to resolve the conflict. He told reporters about this on June 15 before flying to the G7 summit.

"I hope there will be a deal. I think it's time for a deal and we'll see what happens. But sometimes you have to fight," he said.

At the same time, Trump pointed out that the current situation provides a good chance for concluding an agreement. The American leader also confirmed the US intention to support Israel's defense.

On June 15, it became known that the US president blocked Israel's plan to eliminate Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not confirm the information about Trump's ban on the elimination of Khamenei.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
