The consular department of the Russian Embassy in Iran has suspended its work

The consular department of the Russian Embassy in Iran is suspending its work. This was announced by the Russian diplomatic mission on Sunday, June 15.
"The resumption of the consular reception will be announced additionally," the Telegram channel says.
The temporary shutdown of the consular department is connected with the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
