Jerusalem is being bombarded by Iranian ballistic missiles, and Israel's air defense systems continue to operate throughout the country. This was reported on June 15 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"Jerusalem has been under fire from ballistic missiles from Iran in recent days. Residents of the city say that there are endless air alarms here, as in the rest of Israel, and very strong explosions can be heard from the Israeli air defense system, which shoots down most of Iran's missiles," correspondent Nikita Kulyukhin shared.

According to the correspondent, the Israeli side has a three-stage air defense system, including the Iron Dome, Strela, and Kela David, as well as a new Israeli laser that can shoot down drones and missiles within a 10 km radius.

Earlier in the day, Iran launched a new wave of missiles towards Israel. According to Yediot News, over 50 missiles were launched from the territory of the state.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
