Earlier, on June 14, Israel attacked the headquarters of the Iranian Defense Ministry located in Tehran. In the same area, the building of the Defense Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense (Sapand) was damaged.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

Earlier in the day, the IDF announced the elimination of more than 20 Iranian military leaders after the start of airstrikes. The head of the Intelligence and Missile Forces Directorate was also killed during the fighting.
